La Plata County Flooding

Описание: A tropical storm that dumped torrents of rain across much of Southwest Colorado washed out parts of Red Mountain Pass, covered county roads in mud and debris, and prompted evacuation fears for hundreds of residents in Archuleta and La Plata counties.
The storm caused ditches, creeks and rivers to swell past their limits Thursday night, sending water and debris cresting over their banks and onto roads and private properties. The deluge knocked out service to the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad through at least Monday. And Gov. Jared Polis declared a disaster emergency late Thursday for an 11-county region in Southwest Colorado.
