This week's featured orchid is the Himalayan beauty, Coelogyne ovalis.
Coelogyne ovalis is a cool to warm-growing (but prefers intermediate temperatures) orchid species with stunning olive-green flowers and a unique lip pattern to the flower. In this video, I’ll share how I grow this orchid successfully in the subtropical climate of Sydney, Australia, covering everything from watering and light to culture tips specific to our conditions. I have managed to get this through the hottest summer yet, with temperatures soaring to 52C.
