Congruence in line segmentsTwo line segments will be considered congruent if the length of both line segments is same.Angle congruenceIf two angles are congruent then the measurement of both the angles must be same.Congruence of triangleTwo Triangles aresaid to becongruentwhen all corresponding sides and interior anglesof both the trianglesarecongruent. The triangles will have thesame shape and size but can differ in orientation in space.Criteria for CongruencySSS (Side-Side-Side) Criteria for CongruencyThe three sides of one triangle are equal to the three corresponding sides of another triangle, then the triangles will be congruent with congruency criteria SSS.SAS (Side-Angle-Side) CriterionThis criterion suggests that if the two corresponding sides of triangle are equal along with the angle included between them.ASA (Angle-Side-Angle) criterionTwo triangles will be congruent with ASA criterion, if the two adjacent angles and one included sides in one triangle are equal to the corresponding angles and included side of other triangle.RHS (Right angle-Hypotenuse –Side) CriterionTwo right-angled triangles will be congruent if the hypotenuse and one side of one triangle are equal to the corresponding hypotenuse and one side of another triangle.
