Thanks to the introduction of the Oculus (aka Meta) Quest 2, Virtual Reality has gained a lot of popularity over the past couple of years and has begun to make it's way into the main stream. While the Quest 2's stand alone capabilities are impressive the BEST VR experiences are still only to be had on PC. But gaming in virtual reality on PC requires some pretty high end hardware to get the best experience and I wanted to find out just what the MSI RX 6650XT Mech 2X OC is capable of. At the time I'm making this video (Dec. 2022) the RX 6650XT costs around $300 U.S. which is the same price as the RTX 3050. The thing is the 6650XT outperforms the 3050 by quite a bit and is more of a competitor of the RTX 3060 and 3060ti making it a pretty compelling option for gamers on a budget. There's more than a few 6650XT reviews on YouTube but very few of them talk about it's performance in PC VR games. If you own a Quest 2 and are wanting to get into PC VR and looking at purchasing a 6650XT for VR, in this video I take a look at 10 different VR titles (namely Red Matter 2, The Walking Dead Saints & Sinners, Vader Immortal, Beat Saber, Contractors, Bone lab, Lone Echo 2, Assetto Corsa, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Half Life Alyx) to see just how well the 6650XT performs in VR and whether or not it's the right choice for you.
