Due to critical construction and testing along trackway between Menlo Park and Santa Clara Stations in order to support the Caltrain Electrification Project, weekend service shutdowns are in effect on specific weekends, and a lifespan bus bridge will provide service instead. This was recorded on 5/13/23, with 2 VTA buses (1 40-foot and 1 60-foot) per Caltrain trip, which they go back-to-back to pick up passengers with extra capacity.
This past weekend the bus bridge is operated by a variety of coaches, including #6202, #6431, #2204, #8343 and #8301 (this one), which was expected since those are most likely the only articulated buses that VTA will run with this bus bridge service.
