19 Kids and Counting's Jana Duggar Reveals She's Moved Out of Family's House.
Jana Duggar—the oldest daughter of 19 Kids and Counting's Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar—said she moved into her own home "a few years ago." Take a tour inside her tiny house.
Jana Duggar is counting on herself these days.
After all, the 19 Kids and Counting alum has moved out of her parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's family home in Springdale, Ark., she revealed during a recent house tour of her own place in Arkansas.
"I moved in here a few years ago," Jana—the oldest daughter of the Duggars' 19 kids—shared in a July 15 YouTube video. "This building used to be one of the city's temporary office buildings and so we got a really good deal on it. They were auctioning it off."
While the structure was initially "one big open space," Jana said she was able to convert it into a one-bedroom "tiny house."
Though her home does not have a stove, it does have a microwave and two sinks in the kitchenette—one for cooking and one for hand-washing since the bathroom only has space for a toilet and shower.
"It is somewhat oddly configured," she noted of her bathroom. "But then, it was a front porch."
Due to her home's small footprint, Jana said she had to be creative with her furnishings, including using a portable projection screen for movies nights with her nieces and nephews.
Still, the 34-year-old managed to add her own fun touches with live plants and a stuffed monkey doll, which she joked was from her "boyfriend."
"No, just kidding," she quipped, clarifying that it was a gift from her 23-year-old brother James Duggar. "He surprised me one day like, 'Jana, I got you something. I got you a little friend!'"
And while Jana did not specify if she were actually in a relationship, the former TLC star recently sparked engagement rumors when she seen wearing a silver ring on her left hand during a visit to South Carolina.
However, the piece of jewelry was nowhere to be seen in her house tour.
For what it's worth, Jana has been vocal about keeping her love life out of the spotlight. As she noted in a 2020 episode of Counting On, "I feel like these days, probably one of the most common questions is, ‘Am I in a relationship?'''
"Sometimes, it gets a little old," she continued. "Sometimes, it can get a little like, 'What, that's not the only thing in the world to talk about.'"
