(PLEASE SHARE) Hear a scammer from a recent case we handled where the person they called became suspicious causing the scammer to hang up after the employer started asking questions.
This old scam has been making its rounds again throughout Washington County and unfortunately some have been tricked and lost money.
This scam involves scammers pretending to be law enforcement telling you that you've missed a Jury Duty summons. By the end of these calls the scammers threaten you with arrest unless you pay a fine.
We did not include the entire conversation in order to protect the victim's identity. Please don't fall for this no matter how convincing they may sound.
