NSSO data is crucial for monitoring output-outcomes of CS/CSS schemes. DMEO organised 2 part series of webinars on 'Understanding NSS Survey' to facilitate deeper understanding of methodology and findings of NSS 77th Survey through selected topics.
This is the first session of the series which focussed on "Findings of All India Debt & Investment Survey 2019: NSS 77th Round". It detailed out the indicators that are used in survey to generate basic quantitative information on the asset holdings, liabilities, and capital expenditure of the household sector in the economy. The session contains several insights on the credit demand of Indian households and level of financial inclusion of individuals in India.
The sessions were presented by Soumendra Chattopadhyay, Rtd. Additional DG, Survey Design & Research Division, NSO, Kolkata, ISS Officer (1985 Batch).
