This isn't a lack of discipline, but an adaptation problem, where aggressively suppressing muscle soreness can blunt the very growth you're training for. Instead, recovery should focus on building resilience and durability, viewing fatigue symptoms as data to manage, not eliminate. True mental toughness comes from building capacity through controlled stress, not by prioritizing comfort.
Most hybrid athletes, CrossFit competitors, and high-output lifters fall into the same trap:
