Back for 2022, Celebrate Aberdeen Parade will gather hundreds of charities, voluntary groups, and social enterprises. The big day is to showcase what these organisations do for Aberdeen (union street) and the north-east. event is organize by Aberdeen City Council

In 2019, more than 5,000 people representing more than 180 different organisations took part in the Celebrate Aberdeen parade that travels the length of Union Street. Many more joined to show their support. As well as third-sector organisations, the parade features cultural groups, youth groups, sports clubs, and music, dance, and entertainment groups.
Now in its seventh year, Celebrate Aberdeen highlights the amazing work of charities, social enterprises and volunteering organisations in the city to celebrate those people who dedicate their time to helping others.

Organised by a team of volunteers, Celebrate Aberdeen is a unique celebration which has been held in the city every summer since 2011. The parade element of the event was first held in 2011 and has brought together more than 3,500 people from 130 diverse third sector organisations on each of the five occasions it has taken place. In 2014 a weekend of musical performances, aimed at showcasing local talent, was added to the mix. 2015 saw the return of the parade with it being at the core of the weekend’s celebrations since. But the philosophy of Celebrate Aberdeen has always remained the same, namely that of community spirit, supporting each other, volunteering and civic pride.
