Track 11 from "The Crimson Crown: Part One," the fourth album in the Crimson Queen saga. In this track, The Serpent Mage--makes his presence official and known to The Crimson Queen. #aimusic #fantasyrecords #metal #conceptalbum #powermetal
(Verse 1)
The gates of crimson opened,
No herald sang his name—
Yet every spine grew colder
The moment that he came.
He did not bow nor linger,
He simply claimed the floor—
As though the silent relm itself
Had summoned him once more.
(Verse 2)
He spoke in measured cadence,
No venom in his tone—
Each word a tempered weapon
That struck like hewn stone.
The nobles held their voices,
The stewards watched their breath—
For truth had found its speaker,
And truth can sound like death.
(Pre-Chorus)
The Prince stood at the threshold,
His pulse a pounding flame—
His Maker in the open,
And nothing felt the same.
(Chorus)
When serpents speak, the halls grow still,
For power moves unseen—
Not always crowned in scarlet thrones,
But hidden in between.
When serpents speak, the relm tilts slow,
And loyalties unbind—
For crowns are forged in shadowed words,
Before they shape the mind.
(Verse 3 – The Queen)
She stepped with steel composure,
No trembling in her frame—
Her voice cut through the gathering,
And spoke the Serpent’s name.
“Do you come to claim the relm,
Through spells you twist and weave?
Will you stand beside my brother—
Or nest beneath his sleeve?”
(Verse 4 – Mage)
He answered without turning,
As though his path were clear—
“The throne is shaped by lineage,
But destiny draws near.
Kings are not born in cradles,
Nor crowned by wounded pride—
They rise when one who shapes them
No longer stays outside.”
(Pre-Chorus – The Prince)
A tremor in his spirit,
A pull he could not name—
Not sweet, not kind, not fearful—
But sharp, igniting flame.
(Chorus)
When serpents speak, the halls grow still,
For power moves unseen—
Not always crowned in scarlet thrones,
But hidden in between.
When serpents speak, the relm tilts slow,
And loyalties unbind—
For crowns are forged in shadowed words,
Before they shape the mind.
(Bridge – Queen to Prince)
“He mended bone and sinew,
He shaped your stance and breath—
But what he gives so freely,
He’ll tighten after death.
You see your new reflection,
But I see what’s inside—
A vessel robed in power,
With the Serpent just behind.”
(Final Verse – Mage, calmly)
“The crown will find its wearer,
As rivers find their flow—
Some rise from fire and fury,
And some from patient snow.”
(Final Chorus)
When serpents speak, the future bends,
And no one stands the same—
For guidance wears a gentle face,
Before it signs its name.
When serpents speak, the relm leans low,
And every bond is tried—
For sometimes kings are fashioned first,
Before the truth decides.
(Outro – spoken by Mage)
“I do not seek to rule you…
I simply stand beside.”
