For this Fine Art Portrait Photography tutorial I am using Profoto Ax and Profoto A2 and I am shooting with Canon R5 with 24-105 L and 85 mm 1.2
Fine art portrait photography it is all about creating a portrait with artistic motivation, it is not about capturing candid or photojournalism type of photography and is not intended to be realistic.
You try to create emotions using the locations, props and lighting and also with editing. You as a photographer have to use your creativity and technical skills to achieve your vision
In fine art photography you have to make an artistic statement and you can't accomplish this just being technical with your camera and equipment, your creative vision has equal part in the process.
You have to experiment as an artist and the personal work helps you to understand your equipment better and its a great way to experiment and learn how to use your lights.
You have to have a clear idea of what you want to achieve and after that you start working the technical part. Stick with your plan , don't just move your lights around to try to get a lucky shot and don't forget to have fun!
