Old versus new MTB: 2022 MERIDA BIG.TRAIL vs 1995 DAKAR - what difference does 27 years make?

Описание: Just how different is a vintage retro MTB to a modern mountain bike? That's what we wanted to find out when we raided our bike archive to compare our modern trail hardtail, the BIG.TRAIL 600, to it's predecessor, the DAKAR 675. They're both hardtail mountain bikes and sit in a similar position as do-anything, all-day mountain bike hardtails in our range, but that's where the similarities end.

We compare all the differences - from wheel size to geometry to gearing, braking and suspension tech - by taking then out for a spin. Just how radically different the two machines are surprised even us!
