Описание:
When an elderly shopkeeper is swindled out of his life savings by a phony jewel deal, Sergeant Joe Friday and Frank Smith trace the scheme to two ex-cons posing as jewelers and their elusive partner. With only a worthless glass “emerald” as evidence, the detectives chase dead ends, false identities, and denials—until fate intervenes. Justice is delayed, but not denied, when the con men resurface to try the same trick again.
