Upgrading My Mini CNC Lathe - Making The First Chips

Описание: This video gives you an overview about all the things I upgraded on my new Emco Compact 5 CNC mini lathe. I made new gib strips for the bedslide out of cast iron and scraped them in. The whole saddle and cross slide had no ports for lubrication so I drill oiling ports and installed a lubrication system for all the slideways.
The mounting block for the z axis ballnut was made out of plastic and broken on one part. I made a new one out of plastic and installed an oiling port too.

One thing I couldn't fix entirely is the machines cassette deck for saving and loading programs. I brought it back to live but there seems to be still an error in the software preventing the cassette deck from working. So if you can help me to fix this I would be very thankful!

In the end I made my first part: a game piece out of blue POM plastic.
