The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has strongly condemned Panchayat Minister Ojing Tasing for his controversial and “undemocratic” remark threatening to withhold government schemes from areas where BJP candidates lose. Calling the statement unconstitutional and an insult to the people, APCC said public funds belong to citizens, not to any political party.
APCC accused the minister of abusing his office, violating the Model Code of Conduct, and attempting to intimidate voters through fear and political blackmail. The party demanded immediate action from the Election Commission, registration of a case for misuse of power, a public apology from the minister, and his resignation on moral grounds.
Reaffirming that development is the right of every citizen, the APCC urged voters to cast their ballots freely and fearlessly, rejecting any attempt to influence democracy through threats or coercion.
