here's how to check the internal fuses and plug fuse on a a 4 track using a digital multi-meter - always worth doing this if you have a power issue with your portastudio, BEFORE diving into replacing transformers and voltage regulators and the like!
I'm demonstrating using a 464 which was sold to me as broken because the plug fuse was missing! But the same approach will apply if you are working on another model of Tascam or units by Fostex, Yamaha, etc.
