Today is a new opportunity to shift your focus—from self to Savior.

*3. ✝️ Psalm 79:1–13*
This psalm is a cry from a devastated people. Jerusalem is in ruins. The temple is defiled. God’s people are desperate.
But in their pain, they don’t just ask for help—they ask for **God to act for His name’s sake**.

*4. 📖 Key Verse*
“Help us, O God of our salvation,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us, and atone for our sins,
for your name’s sake!” (v. 9)

*5. 📝 Reflection*
We often ask God to help us—for our comfort, our success, our peace.
But this psalm reminds us: *God’s ultimate purpose is His glory.*
God saves not just because we’re hurting, but because **He is faithful to His name**.
He acts not just for our relief, but to *reveal His character* to the world.
Mature faith shifts from “God, help me” to “God, be glorified—even in this.”

Are your prayers centered on your needs—or God’s name?
What would it look like to live today for **His glory**, not just your goals?
Can you trust that even your pain can become part of His greater purpose?
