#ProbeDD2024! Override Undervoltage Relay Trip of Emergency Switchboard Bus-Tie CB
#ProbeLem #ElectricalTroubleshooting #ProblemSolved
#PRObing Right into the Problem! #TraveLem #ElectricalEducationalLibrary
🛠️ During drydock ACB maintenance, our Emergency Switchboard (ESB) Bus-Tie Circuit Breaker won’t close—tripped by the undervoltage relay (UVR) due to an open electrical interlock.
In this #ProbeDD episode, we demonstrate the safe and systematic way to override the UV relay trip and close the Bus-Tie CB—essential when conducting maintenance and testing of air circuit breakers during blackout conditions.

🔍 What You’ll Learn:
✔️ How the undervoltage relay interlock (UVR) logic works in ESB systems
✔️ How to safely override the UVT by bypassing the EG CB CLOSE N.C. contact
✔️ How to jumper UVT terminals 14 and 16 to maintain the required 250VDC
✔️ When and why to override UV protection (and safety reminders)
✔️ Step-by-step drydock troubleshooting and recovery
🧠 Short Video Summary
🔌 UVT tripping the Bus-Tie CB during drydock?
Here’s how to:
Identify the faulty interlock (EG CB CLOSE 31-32)
Override the UV Relay Trip temporarily
Use a jumper on UVT terminals 14–16 (250VDC)
Reset and safely test Bus-Tie closure
⚠️ This is a controlled override for drydocking ACB maintenance—follow safety protocols always.
