The Women-on-Wheels scheme empowers women in Punjab by improving their access to mobility. The campaign has introduced subsidized motorbikes for women in Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sargodha and Rawalpindi whereby customized CD-70 Dream motorbikes will be provided with subsidy worth of Rs. 24,975 and 100% mark-up borne by the Punjab Government. The Women-on-Wheels initiative was launched by the Punjab Chief Minister's Strategic Reforms Unit in November 2015 with the objective of training women how to ride motorbikes. It has successfully provided trainings to more than 3000 women and aims to create a movement to empower women and enable their rightful access to public spaces.
