How to lube, clean, and diamond polish mx blacks

Описание: This is what I found to be the best way to lube cherry mx blacks. I see a lot of terrible guides out there on how to lube switches, which tell you to lube the floor of the housing or the center well. Most guides never go over the most important contact points of the switch, thus giving out terrible advice. If any youtuber tells you to lube the center well, the bottom of the switch stem, or the floor of the bottom housing, they are full of shit. They have no idea how a mx switch works and should not be giving any advice on how to lube it.

Also, I haven't seen any guides on how to clean a switch. I've seen people talk about it on discord and complain about how 'hard' it is. It's easy asf. You don't need an ultrasonic cleaner, you just need some tweezers and a lot of patience. Ultrasonic cleaning is overrated af anyways. No ultrasonic cleaner aside from those large 8L industrial UCs can clean all your switches at once. You have to go by batches of 10-13 parts (not switches, parts) and clean them for 30+ min cycles each. It takes me several hours to do each batch of switches. Not only that, but oftentimes pieces of lube will just float around in the solution and end up inside your switch like behind the leaf or worse, in the center well. It's a fucking pain to clean the center well.

As for diamond polishing, it's really simple. Just a small layer of polish on the bottom housing rails. You don't need to polish the stem or top housing (never the top housing). You could polish the legs if you want, but then you'd have to clean the contact leaves. The best way of cleaning diamond polish would be ultrasonic cleaning, as hand cleaning takes extremely long. Also, big thing, DRY YOUR POLISH before closing the switch. Otherwise the contact leaves will oxidize.
