After a seven-year break from racing in Finland, 25-year-old enduro rider Hermanni Haljala returns to take on one of the most demanding enduro races in the world — the legendary Race Around Lake Päijänne (Päijänteen ympäriajo).
Two days. 26 special stages. Freezing temperatures, snow, darkness, and over 1,000 kilometers of Finnish wilderness.
This documentary follows Hermanni and his 11-person crew through the highs and lows of the race weekend — from preparation at the cabin to intense service stops, mechanical breakdowns, and a dramatic fight for the podium.
What starts as a steady climb from 4th place turns into a battle of survival when a broken rear shock, a cracked stator cover, and engine problems threaten to end the race. With his crew working against the clock and Hänninen closing in, every second counts.
