Binary Land was developed and programmed by Hudson Soft for the Famicom (Japanese NES) in 1985.

Binary Land (バイナリィランド) is a puzzle video game developed and published by Hudson Soft. It first appeared in 1983 on various platforms such as the MSX, FM-7, NEC PC-6001, and NEC PC-8801. Later, in 1985, it received a revamped version for the Famicom console.

Unlike the previous version, the Famicom port features two penguins named Gurin (male) and Malon (female). The two love each other and wish to find each other in each round. To do so, the player navigate around the mazes. The twist, however, is that the player controls both penguins at the same time. While both will move up and down when pressing the corresponding button, Gurin will walk right while Malon will walk left if the player press the right directional button and vice-versa.

Spiders and their web are your main enemy early in the game. They can be defeated with the penguin's ray attack. In later level, a bird will appear and if touched, will switch both penguins to the place of the other. Finally, the fireball enemy can only be defeated with the whale card power up that appears after destroying 7 spiders' webs or when having the child penguin active on the maze.

The game has 99 different rounds. Rounds beyond round 17 are variations of the first 17 round with different vertical half that form the maze. Starting from round 3, there are also bonus stages that task Gurin to catch all the heart and save Malon in the process. After round 3, bonus stages occur each five round. Once the player complete all the rounds, the game will loop back to the first round without an increase in difficulty.
Binary Land Playthrough

The goal of the playthrough is to play all 99 round in the game without losing a life. Most hidden tile's bonus were found and the two Easters eggs were shown.
