So Syrupy Sweet, Brigid and Ed Make Simple Field Compote with Emerald Beaut Plum. Just For Fun

Описание: I have always said that the Emerald Beaut Plum gets so sweet that you could enjoy it on pancakes. Well, early this October morning Brigid, of Dave Wilson Nursery joined me in the orchard to see if my notion was correct. In the Past I have tested the sugar of the Emerald Beaut Plum in early October to over 30 Brix. For our field Compote today we tested at only 28.3 brix. Still much sweeter than most any other stone fruit you could have at this time of year. This is all in fun as we did what we could in the office and then finished it off in the field. The results did not disappoint Brigid or myself.
