Tired of the long battles getting these valuable spheres? Worry not! Here is a simple and quick way of disposing them.
Requirements: 200+ in all stats and at least 7000+ HP, Wakka's attack reel, Celes weapon unlocked with Crest and Sigil for Wakka, monster arena with Don Tonberry, Greater Sphere and Earth Eater
1. Fill up your all of your overdrive before battle. This can be easily done with don tonberry,
2. Use attack reel with Wakka and try to get a line of all twos. The third slot goes to 2 automatically when the timer goes to zero so use that if you are having trouble. The more successful you are with Wakka's OD, the faster the battle. Entrust other members OD to Wakka. It'll take at least 3 successful attack to finish Earth Eater and 2 to finish Greater Sphere.
3. Rinse and repeat. Fill up your ODs with Don Tonberry with Comrade mode and fight Greater Sphere(Luck Sphere) or Earth Eater(Fortune Sphere) whichever one you need.
***Dark Matters may drop instead of the Luck/Fortune Spheres from time to time
** you can sell the weapons and armors you obtained to recoup your gils
