🛒 Ingredients
For the Base & Structure:
• Ladyfingers (Savoiardi): About 2 packages.
• Milk: A small bowl for dipping the biscuits.
For the Cream Filling:
• Heavy Whipping Cream: 500ml (well-chilled).
• Mascarpone Cheese: 250g.
• Powdered Sugar: 3–4 tablespoons (adjust to taste).
• Raffaello Chocolates: 1 pack (crushed).
• Hazelnut Cream/Spread: 1 jar (The video uses M&S Hazelnut Creme, but Nutella or white chocolate hazelnut spread works too).
For the Toppings:
• Kinder Bueno Bars: 2–3 packs.
• More Raffaello candies.
• Cocoa powder or white chocolate shavings (optional).
👩🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare the Cream
In a large bowl, whisk together the chilled heavy cream, mascarpone, and powdered sugar. Use a hand mixer until the mixture reaches stiff peaks. Be careful not to over-beat, or it will turn into butter!
2. Add the "Crunch"
Take your Raffaello candies, place them between two sheets of parchment paper, and gently crush them with a meat mallet or rolling pin. Fold these crushed pieces into your cream mixture with a spatula.
3. Build the "Fence"
Lightly dip the ladyfingers in milk (just a quick dunk so they don't get soggy) and stand them up vertically around the edge of a springform pan. Then, line the bottom of the pan with a layer of milk-dipped ladyfingers to create a solid base.
4. Layering
• First Layer: Spread about half of your whipped cream mixture over the biscuit base.
• The Centerpiece: Spread a generous layer of the hazelnut creme over the whipped cream.
• Second Layer: Add the remaining whipped cream on top and smooth it out with a spatula.
5. Decorate & Chill
Top the cake with Kinder Bueno pieces and extra Raffaello candies. Let the cake set in the fridge for at least 4 hours (ideally overnight). This allows the ladyfingers to soften into a cake-like texture and the flavors to meld.
Pro Tip:
If you want the hazelnut creme to be easier to spread, microwave the jar for 10–15 seconds before pouring it into the center.
