Here's a typed summary for the 3 pieces of experimental evidence behind the delocalised model for benzene:
1) All the carbon atoms in benzene are an equivalent distance apart whereas Kekule's suggestion would place them at different distances since C-C and C=C bonds have different lengths.
2) Benzene doesn't decolourise bromine because it is resistant to addition reactions. Kekule's model suggests that benzene would react with bromine since his model include localised pi bonds.
3) The enthalpy of hydrogenation for benzene is less exothermic than the prediction for kekule's model. This means that benzene is more stable than kekule suggested.
