By way of comparison, he says to Theresa May's campaign has shown arrogance and hubris and offers the British public a 'thin gruel of hopelessness'. It's a campaign that Lewis believes has weakened the prime minister so badly, she will be seen as 'damaged goods' by Europe's Brexit negotiators.
