Creamy White Sauce Pasta with Veggies
Ingredients:
Pasta – 1 cup
Butter – 2–3 tsp
Garlic – 2 cloves, chopped
Onion – 1 small, diced
Capsicum – ½ cup, diced
Boiled corn – ¼ cup
Broccoli – ½ cup
Maida (all-purpose flour) – 2 tsp
Milk – 2 cups
Salt – to taste
Black pepper – to taste
Oregano – ½ tsp
Red chili flakes – ¼ tsp
Cheese – ¼ cup (grated, or as per taste)
Method:
Prepare the veggies:
Heat 1 tsp butter in a pan. Add chopped garlic and sauté,
Add diced onion and capsicum, boiled corn, and broccoli. Season with salt, black pepper, oregano, and chili flakes. Sauté for 3-4 minutes and set aside.
Cook the pasta:
In a separate pan, boil pasta in water with a pinch of salt until cooked. Drain and keep aside.
Make the white sauce:
In the pan, add 1–2 tsp butter and roast 2 tsp maida until lightly golden.
Gradually add milk while stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Cook until the sauce thickens.
Season with salt and black pepper.
Combine everything:
Add the sautéed veggies to the white sauce and mix well.
Add boiled pasta and toss to coat everything evenly.
Sprinkle cheese, oregano, and chili flakes on top. Mix lightly.
Serve:
Serve hot, garnished with extra cheese or herbs if desired.
