Arashi 56" industrial ceiling fan

an Arashi 56" industrial ceiling fan, model AR 228 PWF. It is a long time wishlist that has finally been fulfilled, but I'm not entirely satisfied about it.

Before getting into the negative parts, let's talk about what's positive about this fan, from my perspective. This fan has just the perfect air delivery power for my room (yes, I don't need something very windy) because I tend to be shirtless there all the time. I like this cheap fan design in general, especially the ones that retain their blade arms like this one. It is cheap (although it clearly isn't the best value for money), and It's quite powerful (although it generally will only last a month or two).

Now getting into the negative things about this fan. The main reason I wanted an Arashi industrial is because their white color is different compared to other cheap fan brands. These white Arashis have bone white color, while other white cheap industrials have the standard cheap blue-ish white color. But it isn't entirely the case with this fan. This fan has bone white canopies and downrod, but blue-ish white motor and blades. If I have to say, how disappointing. I was expecting to see a finish like old Panasonic/National industrials. The bearings make slight whirring noises, though only in the lowest setting with this 1511 regulator. Although it is a brand new fan, it has scratch marks on the center of the motor (it might not be visible on cam). You also need to install it correctly or the fan will have an obvious tilt.

Well, I guess that's it for this fan. Ah yes, this fan is dated August 2024, and it got sold to me roughly 1,5 years later. I didn't show the regulator, it looks just like any regular cheap fan regulator but with bone white finish & Arashi labels. I can't say that I'm fully satisfied with it, but It's been a nice fan these four weeks now.
