►Education Secretary Damian Hinds has suggested that every school should have a pet dog.

He said: "The quickest and biggest hit that we can make to improve mental health in our schools and to make them feel safe for children, is to have at least one dog in every single school in the country."

Owner Christine Smyth says her volunteer pup Trumpers is “very non-judgmental, wags happily at pupils, looks up at them lovingly and gives all the right vibes”.
