In this video, we will answer all this using Salt Water and Egg Experiment also known as Floating Egg Experiment.
Eggs sink in regular water but float on salty water.
The density of the egg is greater than that of the regular water so it sank.
When we added salt to water, we added a lot of mass to the water. However, there is no increase in the volume of water as the salt particles take up the intermolecular spaces in water. That increases the density of water. And, with enough salt in the water, it is now denser than egg and egg floats over it.
