For over 70 years, Trans World Airlines (TWA) was more than just a carrier; it was the "Airline of the Stars" and a symbol of American prestige in the jet age. But on December 1, 2001, the iconic red-and-white livery took to the skies for one final time.
On December 1st, 2001, at Kansas City International Airport, a McDonnell Douglas MD-83 prepared for its "last flight". This historic moment for "trans world airlines" drew employees, families, and "aviation enthusiast" eager to capture the final journey. It was a poignant day for "kansas travel" and "plane spotting" as the iconic red TWA logo took to the skies one last time.
