I forget to add this to the video but my middle A key does not open far enough so I wedged a small piece of cardboard between the mechanism that controls it so that it opens more. My low c# key doesn't open far enough too so I gently pull the key with my right hand slightly when fingering it to vent it more. If you can, get your contra looked over by a repair tech. Also if your throat Bb is very out of tune, experiment with placing other fingers from your left and right hand down to get it in tune.

All of this information can also be applied to the smaller Eb contra alto clarinet. To tell if it is a contra bass or contra alto, look at the length of the metal neck relative to your head (the part that's not detachable). If it's about the same size as your head or a little longer, it's an Eb Contra-alto Clarinet. If it is significantly longer than your head, it's a Bb Contrabass Clarinet. There is rarely sheet music transposed for Eb Contra-alto Clarinet which means you will have to transpose it yourself or transpose on the fly while reading Bb bass clarinet or Bb Contrabass clarinet music.
