Here, towering eucalyptus forests, secluded beaches, and winding roads set the tone for the adventure. Many travelers stop at lookouts such as Bald Hill at Stanwell Tops, which offers sweeping views over the Pacific Ocean and is a popular hang-gliding launch site.

From there, the highlight of the trip unfolds: the Sea Cliff Bridge, an engineering marvel that curves gracefully over the ocean, seemingly floating above the waves. Driving across this 665-meter stretch is an experience in itself, with panoramic views of the coastline on one side and steep cliffs on the other. It’s also a popular stop for photos and short walks, as the pedestrian path allows visitors to fully take in the bridge’s beauty.

As the journey continues, small coastal villages like Coalcliff, Austinmer, and Thirroul invite you to slow down and explore. These towns boast golden beaches, surf spots, and relaxed cafés perfect for a break. Austinmer Beach, in particular, is a favorite for swimming and family picnics.
