I was very excited when I got on the Mawa ferry terminal because I got on the first ferry in my life. When the ferry left, I got out of the bus and saw that the Padma river was more beautiful than the one I had written in my textbook.


The Padma or Podda (Bengali: পদ্মা Pôdda) is a major river in Bangladesh and India (downstream of Gina). It is the main distributary of the Ganges, flowing generally southeast for 120 kilometers (75 mi) to its confluence with the Meghna River near the Bay of Bengal.[1] The city of Rajshahi is situated on the banks of the river.[2] However, over 660 square kilometers (256 sq mi) of land, has been lost due to the erosion of Padma since 1966.
