Here are the team of Pokémon in this video, which was decided by the random number generator.
P1 Team: Zubat, Vileplume, Haunter, Sandslash, Pineco, Kabuto
CPU Team: Dratini, Elekid, Shuckle, Moltres, Cleffa, Abra
Then, I will list the moves for each Pokémon in battle, starting with my team.
Zubat: Wing Attack, Giga Drain, Confuse Ray, Toxic
Vileplume: Petal Dance, Acid, Sweet Scent, PoisonPowder
Haunter: Shadow Ball, Giga Drain, Spite, Destiny Bond
Sandslash: Earthquake, Fury Swipes, Sand-Attack, Sandstorm
Pineco: Double-Edge, Giga Drain, Explosion, Spikes
Kabuto: Rollout, Giga Drain, Blizzard, Attract
The CPU's team of Pokémon and moves.
Dratini: Outrage, Headbutt, Safeguard, Thunder Wave
Elekid: Thunderbolt, Headbutt, Screech, Light Screen
Shuckle: Sludge Bomb, Rollout, Bide, Sandstorm
Moltres: Fire Blast, Sky Attack, Roar, Endure
Cleffa: Headbutt, Psychic, Encore, Sweet Kiss
Abra: Psychic, Ice Punch, Swagger, Attract
My lead depends on the random list generator, and I wanted to make sure Pineco was my lead, and it was, and I didn't want to have Moltres or Abra as the lead, because the main deal with Pineco is to set up Spikes, and the best lead for that was Shuckle, which in this battle the CPU does lead with it.
While I can set up Spikes, Pineco cannot do much to Shuckle, and I had to send in Zubat to use Toxic and Confuse Ray to slowly weaken Shuckle, and while Sandslash is better at resisting Shuckle's Rollout, I will want Sandslash for later in the battle.
Should Zubat go down, I can send in another Pokémon to bring down Shuckle, and if Moltres is the next Pokémon out, I can send in Kabuto and use Rollout to take it out, and I will want Haunter's Destiny Bond for later in the battle, but it won't help against Abra because it outspeeds Haunter.
Dratini is a tough opponent as it has Outrage, the best that I can do to fight it is to use Sandslash's Earthquake to deal some damage, and Sandslash does outspeed Dratini, as does Kabuto if Dratini comes out while I have Kabuto out and it is still using Rollout.
Sandslash does have an easy advantage against Elekid, but the downside is that Abra is most likely to come out against Sandslash, and even if I can take out Abra in one Earthquake, I will take damage from Ice Punch, and Elekid is faster than Sandslash and can get in a flinch or two with Headbutt, and if Sandslash were to go down, I can send in Vileplume and use PoisonPowder and Petal Dance as a backup option, Elekid does outspeed Haunter, making it not as effective for Destiny Bond.
Due to how likely Cleffa is to be brought out, usually last because the CPU tends to bring in weaker Pokémon as one of the last Pokémon to be brought out, and to fight that, use whatever I have left, Haunter's Giga Drain won't do too much, but I can use Destiny Bond to bring down Cleffa if I know that Haunter will go down on the next turn to Psychic.
