PowerBuilder CORBA A Throwback to Early Client-Server Architecture

Описание: I started my career with technologies you might not have heard of, focusing on client-server architecture. Our client was a desktop app built with tools like PowerBuilder or Visual Basic, and it communicated with a server-side SQL database like Sybase or Oracle. We then moved into middleware like CORBA and Dicom for distributed objects in the network. That distributed object model is actually making a comeback today!
