In this piano sonatina by Dutch composer Badings, influences ranging from bitonality (Pijper's influence), and influences from Bartók and Hindemith are blended together: the playful rhythmicality of Bartók (especially the last 2 movements), and the playful tonality of Hindemith are present. This leads to an original composition, and shows that Badings should earn more recognition than he currently does.
The sonatina is dedicated "voor Felix [de Nobel]".
