Gauge swatch (blocked): 16 stitches x 22 rows in stockinette pattern = 4x4 inches/10x10 cm.

Suggested needles: U.S. 8 (5mm) circular needles.

Suggested yarn: Worsted weight yarn (85 grams/3 ounces = 197 yards/180 meters): 150 grams.

Materials needed: 5 0.75 inches/2 cm buttons; scissors; stitch markers; tapestry needle.

Special abbreviations and techniques:
RS – right side; WR – wrong side
k – knit; p – purl
