The Newport workshops is the largest steam event in Australia, it happens every two years over the labour day long weekend.
This year it featured 10 working steam locomotives, a repaint of R711 and the first public appearance in steam of freshly restored K160.
Tickets were $35 each with free entry to the Newport railway Museum.
As far as I know, this is the only video with drone footage of the event, so I hope you enjoy the video
