"Really the continuation of the strength of feminity, a story that I had throughout the launch of my brand. And then the two brands coming together really to celebrate (unknown) and haute couture and really the craftsmenship and the savoir faire behind them both. And we looked at elements such as the beautiful craftsmenship in the metalwork and the detailing of the watchmaking and brought that in and tried to highlight both houses with craftsmenship and a celebration of savoir faire and really taking very feminine elements and making them stronger, making them really powerful. We have a lot of metallic tones in the collection which is inspired by the watch itself. It is a lot of rose golds, bronzes, light golds -- things like that - in a lot of elevated metalwork, almost like fine jewelry pieces."

STORYLINE:
Designer Tamara Ralph showcased her latest collection in Paris, Monday.

The collection was a collaboration with watchmaker Audemars Piguet and contained many metallic tones "inspired by the watch itself" said the Australian designer backstage.

"We looked at elements such as the beautiful craftsmenship in the metalwork and the detailing of the watchmaking and brought that in and tried to highlight both houses with craftsmenship," she explained.

"It is a lot of rose golds, bronzes, light golds and a lot of elevated metalwork, almost like fine jewellry work," she added.

Some of the key pieces in the collection included a huge green feathered dress and a flowing pink dress which also featured numerous feathers. The final look was a wedding style dress complete with metallic flowers across the body and in an accompanying headdress.
