The Shaboo All Stars are a longtime musical ensemble rooted in the legendary Shaboo Inn — a famed Connecticut club that hosted thousands of concerts. The band emerged from the vibrant community around that venue, formed by co-founder and musician David “Lefty” Foster and other talented players he met through the club’s weekly shows.
While the Shaboo Inn itself became renowned for bringing major blues, rock, jazz, and pop acts to rural Mansfield and Willimantic — from B.B. King and Muddy Waters to Aerosmith and The Police — the Shaboo All Stars carried that spirit forward after the club closed. Touring throughout the United States in the early 1980s and later performing across New England, the group blended blues, rock, and roots music with a seasoned, improvisational flair.
