Woodturning - Can Pine Be Pretty .... Again?!

Описание: So after the success of my two other "Can Pine Be Pretty" videos I wanted to make a third but change the species of pine (not 100% sure what it is), and create a more interesting design. Unfortunately, the wood didn't allow for the design I wanted, the pine had been sitting in the elements for too long and had lots of water ingress. Because of this I put the project on hold for three months and came back to it once it had dried so I could look at it with a fresh perspective. I thought the best way to salvage the piece was to use epoxy resin, it would strengthen the wood and give it a more beautiful finish.
Let me know what you think of the epoxy. Should I use more on the channel, or do you prefer more traditional woodturning?
The bowl is sanded to 7000 grit and finished with Danish oil on the wood, and a buffed finish on the epoxy. The bowl is 215mm diameter, 90 wide, and approximately 70 deep.

Yes, I'm aware that wearing gloves while woodturning is considered an unsafe practise. The gloves I wear are tight fitting and don’t have any loose threads. I wear them for the protection of my skin. This is a risk that I am willing to take, however I am still very conscious of the potential danger and I do not touch any spinning parts of the lathe.
