The embassy incident resulted in "limited fire and minor material damage to the building", according to Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defense, and the US issued a new shelter-in-place order for Riyadh and Jeddah.
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Defense said its forces intercepted and destroyed drones near the cities of Riyadh and Al-Kharj, as the country risks being dragged deeper into the Middle East conflict.
