I’ve been using Optimate chargers for over 12 years now, and the Optimate3 through Honda for the last 3 or 4 years. All the other techs in the shop use them as well and we’ve never had a charger failure over the years. Hands-down the best performing and highest quality battery chargers I’ve ever come acrossed! They’ll even work on car batteries, slowly…
But note, these are not a quick-charge type charger. If a quick charge is needed for a motorcycle battery, never exceed the maximum charge rate listed on the battery. If not using a quality battery that lists the charge rate, never exceed 3-Amps on a motorcycle battery, and monitor the battery’s temperature. If it gets hot, or starts to whistle, disconnect the charger!

Just to clarify, all the current “Battery Tender” branded chargers by Deltran are auto switching 4-step or better chargers! They are not the standard trickle chargers that I denounce in the video! Sorry about the name dropping! It’s the “Palm Pilot” naming mentality...
