So, in case you haven't noticed, I've changed the way my videos are edited! I ditched the slideshow for a brief title/logo so that you can get to the siren sounding much sooner. The slideshow has not been removed altogether, it is now at the end of the video and will likely have more than just the four pictures I used to do.
As far as the siren, it's your average 2001-SRN. However, it is a bit of a childhood siren. I attended River Ridge Elementary from preschool through 5th grade, and I remember hearing it just about every first Wednesday. I also recount at least one occasion where I asked the teacher if I could stand in the glass stairwell and watch the test. Needless to say, it was pretty loud and performed well despite the obvious frigid temperatures and ice buildup. The only real issue with this siren is its pole, which is quite the leaner. Enjoy!
Kenton County sirens are tested the first Wednesday of each month at noon.
