The Ejagham people of Cross River State occupy three quarters of the land mass of the state, from the Etung to Bakassi LGA
in a bid to properly reposition the Ejagham people of the state, the Ejagham Traditional Centre, in collaboration with the Department of Linguistics, organized the launch of the Revised Ejagham Language Orthography (R E L O ) in the University of Calabar, Calabar in early August of 2024. The launch was attended by Ejagham people in Cameroon and Nigeria.
The Nigeria National Anthem in Ejagham was sang there for the first time. Ejagham is always a trail blazer. Other languages can take a cue from Ejagham and do same in their various languages.
