Deep in the forest, far from marked trails, I set out to locate a historical place I believed still existed — even though it no longer appeared on modern maps.
By analyzing LiDAR terrain data, subtle shapes beneath the trees pointed to something unnatural. After hiking off-trail and following the terrain, I finally reached the site: a forgotten industrial ruin slowly being reclaimed by the forest.
In this video, I document the search, the hike, and the discovery itself — showing how modern mapping tools can uncover hidden history most people would never notice. I also explain what these structures were used for and why sites like this disappeared over time.
