This lecture-demonstration presents Carnatic Music as an integral part of the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS).
Tracing its roots to the Sāmaveda and the Nāṭyaśāstra, the session examines how Carnatic Music evolved as both a śāstra and a spiritual sādhana. Through musical illustrations, it explores nādopāsanā, bhakti, sacred geography, Sanskrit sāhitya, and the structured yet creative grammar of rāga and tāla.
